PRE-WAR HOMEBUILT TETHER CAR
OK RACEWAY .60 POWERED
~ SOLD ~
This unique tether car is a pre-war engineering masterpiece, designed and built by a master craftsman. The car is 18" long and features a steel reinforced aluminum frame riding on modified Syncro Rocket suspension front and rear. The front axle is a custom wishbone design. The gearbox is driven through a centrifugal clutch located behind the flywheel. The ignition OK .60 Raceway engine turns through smoothly with excellent compression. The wheels and white sidewall tires are LaJone Speedway; the white sidewalls are authentic, they are not painted on. The car is complete with fuel tank, shut off, coil, condenser, battery box, and wiring; the needle valve adjustment control is located in the cockpit. The body and nose are wood, the hood is formed from a steel mesh material; the car was repainted about 20 years ago. For display, the car sits on a custom wooden plinth. This car has outstanding shelf presence, in the office, living room, or anywhere you choose to display it.
This remarkable pre-war tether car is available for purchase; text, email or call me for complete details.
