1948 McCOY "METAL TOP" INVADER
Wildan Fabrication Special, Tracy, CA
This stunning McCoy Invader has been beautifully restored in the Wildan Fabrication Special livery, featuring hand painted graphics with gold leaf numerals. The original body and pan are cast in magnesium with no damage or welds. The car is powered by a correct McCoy .60 ignition engine equipped with a Hornet magneto and Smith coil; the drivetrain turns through smoothly, the engine has excellent compression. The fuel tank and fuel line shut off are in place. The front tires are McCoy Duro-Matic and the rears are C-R (Curly); the rear tires have flat spots from sitting on the shelf. This car has an outstanding shelf presence; it displays beautifully!
1938 BUNCH SPEED DEMON
The BUNCH SPEED DEMON was one of the earliest tether cars on the market. A pioneer of sorts, making its first appearance at the 1938 World Fair. This example is powered by an ignition Bunch Speedway motor and features authentic, original Gardner white sidewall tires, a leather seat, dash with gauges, and the remains of a windshield. The car is approximately 19" long; the drivetrain turns through smoothly; the Bunch motor has excellent compression. This car sat for many years in the world famous collection of the late Walt Petersen of Reno, Nevada.
1947 McCOY RAILTON
The "RAIL McCOY SPECIAL"
This spectacular McCoy Railton features hand painted graphics and a custom grille and exhaust bezel. It is powered by a McCoy .60 set up to run on a glow plug, however, the ignition points and timing device are in place should you wish to convert it back to a spark ignition motor. The car is complete with fuel tank and fuel shut off. The paint and hand painted graphics on the fiberglass body are brilliant. The aluminum pan is polished, and the rail guides are in place; the tires do not have flat spots. The drivetrain turns through smoothly; the McCoy .60 engine has great compression. This car displays beautifully.
1946 McCOY "TEARDROP" STREAMLINER
In 1946 Dick McCoy, working with Duro-Matic Corp, produced the first Duro-Matic McCoy tether car called the "McCoy Racing Car". These cars, soon to be known as the McCoy Teardrop, were very successful, setting spur gear records across the country. This example is something of a time capsule; it is exactly as it was the last time it ran; even the old batteries are in place. The car is complete, powered by an ignition McCoy .60 engine. The racer's box is included with the car. There are a lot on fancy restored teardrop cars around, but not very many in this completely original condition!
1948 DOOLING ARROW .61 POWER,"AS RACED"

This as-raced Dooling Arrow ran in the post-war proto class utilizing a Dooling .61 for power. The fiberglass body has no cracks or damage; the old paint has some grime and great patina with the usual hot spot around the exhaust bezel. The gearbox, fuel tank, and fuel shut off are original, the electrics are all in place, the front axle is an upgraded Fairabend unit. The gearbox/driveline turn through smoothly, the Dooling .61 motor has excellent compression. This 16" long Dooling Arrow is in remarkable, original as-run condition.
RICH DEMOCH'S 1998 AMRCA RECORD CAR; AS RACED !
Built on a McCoy Invader pan and gearbox, this car set the AMRCA Class 4 World record at 160 mph. It is powered by a custom SuperTigre G60 engine and is complete. The rules were changed shortly after this record was set.....so it may still stand! Included with the car are the ribbons and AMRCA results from the June 1998 meet. Here is your opportunity to own a piece of tether car racing history built and raced by the late legend Rich Democh!
1940 BREMER WHIRLWIND
This ORIGINAL BREMER WHIRLWIND has undergone an outstanding restoration; it is powered by a Super Cyclone ignition engine and is complete with the coil, condenser, wiring, and fuel tank. The gearbox/driveline turn through smoothly; the Super Cyclone has excellent compression. Check out the details; wrapped steering wheel, windshield, gauges, leather seat, and a piano hinged louvered hood. The wheels are original to the car, the tires are replacements. This outstanding example of an original 1940 Bremer Whirlwind displays beautifully.
1939 DOOLING FROG
In 1939 the Dooling Brothers introduced the streamliner cabin car affectionately known as the FROG. This example is in authentic, un-restored "as run" condition, featuring an ignition Super Cyclone engine, complete electrics including the coil, condenser, battery pack and wiring, custom fuel tank, and the two-piece front axle and "torsion bar" front suspension. The shut off switch has been disconnected in order to facilitate the removal of the body. Power is delivered to the rear axle through spur gears, the driveline turns through smoothly, the Super Cyke has good compression. Even the tires are original to the car, they are hard, and the rears show significant cracking This is an outstanding original example of the classic iconic 1939 Dooling Frog.
FUSCO "SIDEWINDER SPECIAL"

This unique highly modified McCoy Railton was designed, built, and raced by the late Fred Fusco of Rhode Island. Fred used the design of the SUPER MODIFIEDS of the 1970's to enhance the handling of his car. A photo of a period SUPER MODIFIED is included here. The ignition McCoy .60 powering the car is radically offset to the left; check out the machine work completed to facilitate the installation, it is outstanding! The car is complete with the fuel tank, coil, condenser, wiring, and even the battery pack. The gearbox/driveline turn through smoothly; the McCoy .60 has excellent compression. If you are looking for a unique, original tether car for your collection; this is it!!
GEORGE FERNELIUS BRIGGS MITE
AS RACED; DOOLING .29 POWER
This is a car built and raced by George Fernelius. It is Dooling .29 powered featuring an early Briggs magnesium pan and a hand carved wooden body. It is believed to be his first car, with which he placed FIRST in the .29 bevel gear class at the May 16, 1954 NMRCA event at Muncie Indiana. The car is 12" long; the drivetrain turns through smoothly; the Dooling .29 has great compression.
